Jetty
This photograph shows a wooden jetty in Travemünde, Germany, leading into the Baltic Sea. The eye of the fascinated beholder is caught by the extremes of the troubled beach, the calm ocean and the smooth clouds. Nothing deflects or is an obtrusion. On the jetty you can observe the ships heading out to Sweden, Finland and Russia, until they disappear over the horizon. Firmament and beach gently centre the jetty and the Baltic Sea.

Rüdiger J. Vogel ist 1975 in Stuttgart geboren. Im Laufe seiner Jungend entdeckte er seine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie und folgte daraufhin eine Fotografieausbildung in einem professionellen Studio für Werbefotografie und Postproduktion in Stuttgart. Seit 2001 arbeitet er als freischaffender Fotograf. Rüdiger J. Vogel verreist überall auf der Welt, auf der Suche nach den einmaligen Momenten der Fotografie: Shanghai, Paris, Le Cap, San Francisco und New York sind nur einige der Aufenthaltsorte, wohin seine Tätigkeit ihn führt.
